Detent Pins
The first step in making the Dimide 1/4 Series Clamp easy to modify was to make the jaws removable and interchangeable. This was accomplished with the use of detent pins in place of the previously riveted pins. The detent pins are easy to remove by hand while remaining secure when you need them to be.
An abundance of Jaw Options
Once the Dimide 1/4 Series Clamp jaws became interchangeable we started to design unique jaws for unique situations. A small example of potential jaws includes wood no-mar jaws, aluminum no-mar jaws, rubber no-mar jaws, step jaws, under table edge mount jaws, pipe jaws, copper spatter resistant jaws, welding ground jaws, vertical lifting jaws, elongated press jaw and more. Additional info on each jaw will be provided in the future. As part of the Kickstarter campaign, backers will be able to vote for which jaws will be released first.
No-Mar Jaws
The DIMIDE 1/4 Series Clamp no-mar jaws offer the ability to deliver substantial clamping force without ruining your surface.

Pipe Jaws
The DIMIDE 1/4 Series Clamp pipe jaws offer the ability to clamp pipe and other round objects. These jaws can be combined with other jaws to satisfy the needs of projects.

Weld Grounding Jaw
This DIMIDE 1/4 Series Clamp Welding Ground Jaw will offer top quality grounding contact and flexibility to ground any part you want.

Under Table Edge Mount Jaw
Keep your clamp handy by attaching the table mount jaw to the underside of where you want it. Bolt it on or weld it in place and easily remove the clamp when you want by taking out the jaw detent pin.

Long Reach Jaws
Get the reach you need with the modular long reach jaws. Make them to your preferred length and get up to 24" of clamp reach which is ideal sheet metal and woodworking projects.

Step Jaws
Step over flanges and other obstacles to clamp down where you need to using the step jaws.

Square Jaw
Keep your parts square with the rigid square jaw which connects together two 1/4 Series Clamps. Use an impact driver to pull parts into squareness with serious clamping force and hold them there while you weld.

Heat-Sink Press Jaw
Help prevent your sheet metal from deforming with the aluminum heat-sink press jaw. Use it to press and hold down glue up jobs as well for woodworking.

Edge Screw Jaw
Apply clamp force perpendicular to the jaws to hold parts onto the edge. This is ideal for edge clamp and glue up jobs.

All Sides Clamp Configuration
Combine the edge screw jaw and the heat-sink press jaws to make a clamp configuration that clamps your project from all four sides.

Affordable Quality Niche Tools
Another design consideration that was constantly on our minds while designing the Dimide 1/4 Series Clamp was how to make quality niche tools that were perfect for a given job affordable. By making the clamp modular, we figured out that we could increase the production quantity of all of the expensive high end hardware (high strength screws, side plates, etc...) and then simply sell the modular components as peripherals. This way you no longer needed to pay for another entire clamp just to make it fit your project, instead you could just purchase the add-on that fit your needs.
Personal Customization
While we are trying to think of any way you will want to use the Dimide Clamp, we are confident that you will find additional ways. That's why we will be making available instructions, .stp files and drawings so that you can easily make your own modifications to the clamp to make it perfectly fit your needs.
